Vintage Grain Sacks

I made a trip down to the Long Beach Antique Market yesterday morning. Flee market shopping is probably one of my favorite things to do. I love wandering the aisles upon aisles of antique, old, junky treasures. This particular trip I was on a hunt for grain sacks for some sewing projects for the house. I was so happy to come across Uber Chic Home’s booth. The owners travel through Europe for unique and vintage items including grain sacks. I was totally in my element searching though the bags and bags of grain sacks, looking for the perfect colors and stamps. Here is what I came away with.

The lovely thing about the grain sacks is that once you wash and dry them, they become soft and perfect for pillows or upholstering. I’ll be sure to post in the next few weeks with my finished products.
